Designs, Decor, Renovation and headaches

I've been researching a lot on how I want my new home.. our new home to look like on pinterest and let me tell you, Pinterest is so addicting.  I know I might get my hopes up way high because I know it's not going to come out looking like it is on Pinterest since I don't have a high budget and it's going to take me a long, long time to save up and get the pieces I want.

Well that being said, if any of you are interested in seeing what I'm pinning, here's the link to my Pinterest.  Jenny's Pinterest link

Our new home (still waiting for the closing) is really outdated and I will upload some photos for you below and also keep you all updated on the renovation.
Living Room
Definitely will pull up the carpet and install wood floor.
Dining area
We are planning to open up the wall half way and create a small island to give it a open space.
Kitchen
Definitly will get new cabinets, still debating on the color of the cabinets.  Old fashion or modern?
Bath 1
The bath will definitly need new tiles, since it's all moldy and nasty.. and look at that sliding door..

I can't wait for Olivia, my daughter to get her own room since we now live in a 1 bedroom about 500 Sq ft apt, so this will be a big change for us.

Hello my name is...

My very first blog and I don't know what I'm doing but oh well, it has to start somewhere, somehow and sometime.

My name is Jenny and I'm born in Hong Kong.  Moved here (USA) when I was 12, and have been here for over 20 years; I just let the whole world know how old I am.  I'm not a native speaker so don't get your hopes up for well written essays, but I definitely appreciate if you want to let me know how I can improve my writing. (grammar and all those fun stuff)

My aim for this blog is to communicate with the outside world since I am a stay at home mom of 1 for now, and also share my recipes, feelings if anyone cares to read or know.

After staying at home, eating 3 meals a day at home with a picky eater on my hand, my mom says I've trained her that way.  I need to revamp the meals I cook and I've come up with some really good fusion recipes.  Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing family and friends enjoying the food you cook, so I'm going to dream big and spread it from family and friends to everyone everywhere.

I'm not much of a talker, so I will keep it short and simple and my daughter, Olivia, is taping address labels on my fingers so its not easy to type now.  The wonderful age of 2!
